Hasan Salihamidzic and David Trezeguet kept Juve in the Scudetto race by seeing off a plucky Siena side.
The Turin giants were undefeated since a 3-1 at Napoli on October 27 and Alessandro Del Piero kept his place with Vincenzo Iaquinta still injured, especially as he had scored five of Juve's total nine goals against Siena here. The Tuscans were doing well since Mario Beretta's return to the bench with five points in three games, but had lost their last three trips to Piedmont.
Hasan Salihamidzic tested Alex Manninger with a cracking header that was fingertipped on to the crossbar and on the corner David Trezeguet couldn't adjust his feet in time and ex-Siena man Cristian Molinaro fired on to the side-netting.
Giorgio Chiellini risked scoring an own goal by miskicking a corner clearance and Tiago was booked for punching Tomas Locatelli as they waited for a corner to come in.
On 26 minutes Siena had a goal disallowed, as before Massimo Maccarone's finish Daniele Portanova had pushed his marker for the assist, then Alessandro Del Piero drilled wide from distance.
Juventus finally found a way through in determined fashion. A corner took several deflections before Trezeguet held up Nedved's low cross at the back post for Salihamidzic to smash home from a couple of yards.
Just before half-time Nicola Legrottaglie skimmed the upright, while after the restart Salihamidzic's header from a Del Piero free kick settled on the roof of the net.
Trezeguet confirmed his Capocannoniere status with a splendid individual effort, flicking Tiago's ball on with his heel before lashing in the right-foot shot from outside the box.
Trezeguet struck the side-netting on the counter, but Siena almost pulled one back when Daniele Portanova nodded Daniele Galloppa's free kick on to the upright.
