Raffaele Palladino netted a gem in Juventus' 3-0 win over Parma in this rescheduled Week 31 fixture.
This match was called off on March 30 after Parma fan Matteo Bagnaresi was accidentally run over and killed by a bus driven by Juventus supporters.
The Bianconeri fielded Raffaele Palladino out wide and Mauro Camoranesi in a central midfield role, as Cristiano Zanetti was injured, Momo Sissoko and Tiago Mendes rested. The Gialloblu needed a result to break away from the relegation zone and gave Bernardo Corradi a rare start upfront.
In the opening minute Fernando Couto's header skimmed the woodwork, but 120 seconds later Hasan Salihamidzic's diving header from an Alessandro Del Piero free kick was also just wide.
David Trezeguet made the most of a goalkeeping howler to give Juve the lead after 16 minutes. Del Piero's corner kick was whipped in and Luca Bucci missed the ball. Camoranesi's header ricocheted on to the upright and Trezeguet was free to tap in from a yard. However, Parma protested at an offside position, as when Camoranesi got the header there was only one Gialloblu shirt in front of him, Daniele Dessena practically on the line.
Luca Antonini blasted wide on the counter and Gigi Buffon charged down Corradi, but Juventus doubled their advantage on the half-hour mark. It was a fantastic goal from Raffaele Palladino, who flicked it over Zenoni and smashed a powerful right-foot finish into the far corner.
McDonald Mariga drilled over, but the home side were in control and Couto charged down a Zdenek Grygera cross-shot. There was controversy in first half stoppages as Giorgio Chiellini was furious when Couto appeared to punch him on the side of the head, so this could well go to the Disciplinary Commission for video evidence.
Parma got off to a determined start for the second half and Buffon closed down Dessena before Reginaldo's header was off target. Del Piero combined with Trezeguet to fire off target before making way for Pavel Nedved.
Palladino wasted a promising counter and Nedved drilled inches past the post from outside the box.
Stefano Morrone put the result beyond all doubt when he accidentally nodded a Tiago cross into his own net to secure the 3-0 scoreline. Tempers flared and Couto was sent off moments later for dissent, while Dessena limped off injured, adding to Parma's woes.
This result leaves them just one point above the drop zone and with a series of players set to miss out on this weekend's crunch match with Napoli.
