| Joaquin Larrivey finally got his debut Serie A goal in an entertaining four-goal thriller.
There was a party atmosphere in Sardinia between two clubs who secured unexpected safety last weekend. Cagliari completed an incredible comeback from just 10 points at the midway mark, while Reggina stayed up by winning their last three games on the trot. Franco Brienza really should have equalised for Reggina soon after, but tried to roll across for Amoruso instead of going for glory when clear on goal and the chance went begging. Amoruso got the goal eventually, controlling the ball with a lovely first touch to fire a right-foot finish past Storari. Paolo Bianco made it 2-1 for the Sardinians with a left-foot volley, but Amoruso converted a late penalty for his 12th of the season, having earned it through Magliochetti's foul. |
