| Despite playing in 10 men for the final 20 minutes, Udinese snatched their second away win of the season in Bergamo. Both these sides were hovering just below the Champions League places and it was a battle to make that final push towards the top four. Udinese were missing the suspended Sulley Ali Muntari and had to improve on their away record of just five points from a possible 24. Riccardo Zampagna's volley was weak on a Cristiano Doni assist, but Morgan De Sanctis was tested by a couple of Doni efforts. Dossena's cross was deflected into the air, although Paulo Barreto could't get the final touch to turn in from close range. Bernardini's effort from the edge of the box was held cleanly by De Sanctis and Zampagna turned a volley just wide. Atalanta took the lead within 40 seconds of the restart. Zampagna flicked on the ball for Tissone to burst into the box and prod his finish past De Sanctis. It was a special goal for the youngster, who played for Udinese last season. The Friulani equalised soon after thanks to a stunning strike from substitute Raffaele De Martino, whose marvellous low volley flew past a helpless Alex Calderoni. Giampiero Pinzi scored against Cagliari at the weekend, but thumped a good chance wide created for him by Vincenzo Iaquinta. De Martino ruined the good work done by his goal, as he picked up a second booking. Despite playing in 10 men for the final 20 minutes, it was Udinese who secured a shock victory at the Stadio Azzurri d'Italia. Iaquinta found space down the right and cut back for Antonio Di Natale's solid finish. |
