Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano expects the Blucerchiati to recover from a dreadful start to the season but has called for winter spending.
After an impressive 2007-08 campaign, there had been high hopes for this season, but Samp are yet to get started.
Despite progressing in the UEFA Cup with ease, Walter Mazzarri's men haven't managed to register a win in Serie A and lost 4-2 to Atalanta yesterday.
“We will soon come through this situation because this team is used to difficulties,” Cassano stressed on Sky Sport Italia.
“But I hope that in the coming months the club can make some moves in the transfer market.
“I'm not trying to be controversial but we need reinforcement in every position.
“Getting into the Champions League with Sampdoria would be like winning the Scudetto and I cannot give up.”
