Zenga keeps Catania grounded
Sunday 9 November, 2008

Catania may be flying high, but Walter Zenga notes their clash with Cagliari is still a relegation dogfight.

The Sicilians have been remarkable so far this season with four wins, three draws and as many defeats putting them just three points shy of Juventus.

“Cagliari are a tough side and have rediscovered their balance. This team is in good shape and the statistics speak volumes with 10 points in their last five games,” warned Zenga.

“We must continue with the same hunger as always, trying to win with that unique determination that set us apart in previous tests.”

The Sardinians had lost their opening five matches, but are now on fine form with Robert Acquafresca bagging four goals.

“I think Andrea Cossu is a very important player for them, although the one I fear the most is Michele Fini. All of Cagliari’s forward play goes through him.”
