| | | | | | Curci's settled at Siena | Thursday 6 November, 2008 | | Siena goalkeeper Gianluca Curci is delighted that he left Roma for Tuscany on loan in the summer but would love to be called back to the Eternal City.
The former Azzurrini No 1 spent a frustrating period as Alexander Doni's understudy for Roma between 2004 and 2008, making just 29 appearances.
Curci has impressed this season between the posts for Siena after agreeing a temporary switch and is enjoying the chance to show his abilities after playing a starring role in last weekend's Tuscan derby win over Fiorentina.
I should have come to Siena at least two years ago, Curci confessed to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
I was at Roma for two years but I was mostly on the bench and at my age a goalkeeper needs to play regularly.
We have an excellent Coach and the atmosphere here makes you feel comfortable.
Will I return to Roma in the future? If I have the chance to play regularly then certainly I would like to.
