Pisano joins ref row
Thursday 6 November, 2008

Torino defender Marco Pisano is sick and tired of refereeing mistakes costing the Granata vital points.

The 27-year-old defender saw teammate Nicola Amoruso have a goal disallowed as Torino slumped to a 1-0 defeat against Sampdoria on Sunday.

President Urbano Cairo has already spoken out against several other mistakes that have penalised Torino this season and Pisano has now had his say.

“The refereeing mistakes have made their weight felt,” admitted Pisano. “They have certainly influenced the first part of the campaign.

“In this moment, we have something to feel aggrieved about, you cannot find another alibi for the way our attention has been led astray.”

Torino are sixteenth in Serie A and have only two victories to their name this term, yet Pisano suggests that morale in the camp is not as low as people think.

“Clearly after Sunday it couldn't be very high,” he said. “But the performances offer us comfort and give us security for the future.”

Toro travel to tenth placed Catania on Sunday and desperately need three points to get out of the relegation mire.
