Udinese have been linked with Argentine starlet Franco Zuculini, who has been dubbed 'the new Javier Mascherano'.
The 18-year-old central midfielder plays for Racing, the fourth biggest club in Argentina.
Udinese director general Pietro Leonardi is reportedly lining up a £5m bid for the youngster, who has made 13 appearances and scored one goal this season.
The Zebrette are renowned for investing in young talent and have one of the best academies in Europe.
Udinese recently launched the careers of Cristian Zapata, Gokhan Inler, Mauricio Isla and Aleksandar Lukovic.
This season they gave 19-year-old Chilean Alexis Sanchez his debut and he promptly repaid them - scoring a wonder goal against Catania.
Udinese are currently second in Serie A, a point behind Milan who claimed top spot on Sunday evening.
