Rossi expects Catania struggle
Sunday 2 November, 2008

Delio Rossi expects a tight match when Catania pay visit to Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico this afternoon.

“It is going to be a complicated match for a number of reasons,” said the tactician.

“First of all because Catania are the real surprise outfit of the season and secondly I expect them to come here with a locked-down defence that will not really come out and attack us.

“I think this is going to be a constant we’ll have to deal with when teams come to the Olimpico this season.”

The Biancocelesti lost their last home game to Napoli, but got back on track midweek thanks to a 2-1 victory at Chievo.

“It is essential for us to continue this positive moment after Wednesday’s win,” added Rossi.

Tommaso Rocchi is in the squad, albeit still not 100 per cent fit after some recurring problems in the wake of his Olympic injury.

“Rocchi is coming off a tricky time with regards to his fitness, so even if he feels good, we will wait and see what the response is in a late test.”
