Luciano Spalletti’s job is not on the line, assures Roma director of sport Bruno Conti, but the Coach confirms he disagrees with the club on some issues.
Talk of a possible change on the Giallorossi bench is increasing after a sixth defeat in nine Serie A games, falling 2-0 to Juventus last night.
“This is the reality we are in and these are the results we have got so far,” said club legend Conti.
“But we are united and I always repeat to the lads that we cannot forget what has been achieved in these three years.
“We have to focus on less talk and more action. This is why the pre-match ritiro will continue, because we have a very important Champions League test on Tuesday. We can do it if we remain united.”
Roma welcome Chelsea to the Stadio Olimpico as their progress in Europe hangs in the balance following the 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
However, Spalletti revealed in his Press conference that he did not agree with the ritiro where the whole team is locked in to best prepare for a match and do not even go home in the evenings.
“For the problems we have right now, there is no need to do this,” insisted the tactician.
