Ibrahimovic keeps calm
Friday 28 November, 2008

Inter hitman Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unfazed by the Nerazzurri's defeat against Panathinaikos and rumours that Didier Drogba could arrive.

The Beneamata were humbled 1-0 in midweek by Greek side Panathinaikos, but they still booked their place in the Champions League last 16.

“We have already qualified for the next round, even if we didn't play very well,” Ibra told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I'm lacking goals in Europe? Last year I scored five at this stage, but this year I am doing better in the League where I have managed seven.”

Inter's next game sees high-flying Napoli visit San Siro this weekend.

“We are taking on an excellent side and Ezequiel Lavezzi is a top player,” Ibra said.

“It will be a difficult game, but we are confident of the three points.”

Over the last few days, Chelsea striker Drogba has been heavily linked with a move to Inter.

“He is a great player and he uses his physique to score lots of goals,” Ibra admitted.

“But we already have lots of great strikers. When Adriano is playing well he can make the difference and I really like playing alongside him because he opens up spaces for me.”

Ibra concluded by committing his long-term future to the Nerazzurri.

“I have five years on my contract and I am very happy here,” he said. “If Massimo Moratti offered me an extension, I would have no problem with accepting, but it's too early to talk about that.”
