Galliani relieved at Pompey point
Friday 28 November, 2008

Adriano Galliani breathed a sigh of relief after Milan grabbed a draw with Portsmouth in last night's UEFA Cup clash.

The Diavolo were 2-0 down, but a late rally allowed them to steal a point courtesy of Ronaldinho and Pippo Inzaghi.

“I was suffering when we were trailing 2-0, but I think we played a good first half,” Galliani recalled.

“Pippo hit the bar and the post, but eventually he netted a splendid goal, which he thoroughly deserved.

“Ronaldinho hit an incredible free-kick. He is simply an immense talent and he has become essential for us.

“It's important that we are top of our UEFA Cup group because now we will face a third-placed team instead of a side who were knocked out of the Champions League.”
