Juventus proposed bid to sign Bayern Munichs Bastian Schweinsteiger will not just depend on the players wishes but that of his girlfriend.
Its no secret that the Turin giants are hoping to sign the German international in the summer on a free transfer.
The midfielder is seen by many in Turin as the ideal replacement for 36-year-old Pavel Nedved who could finally hang up his boots at the end of the campaign.
However, reports in Italy today claim that Schweinsteiger will also have to convince his partner Sarah Brandner to accept the move.
Brandner is an up and coming German model who is relatively well known in her homeland, but not that widely recognised abroad.
As a result, she may prefer Schweinsteiger to put his dreams of playing in a different League on hold for the immediate future.
The midfielder is only contracted to the Munich outfit until June which means he would be free to sign for another club in January.
I am tempted by a foreign experience, noted the player recently. But I have to admit that I am also very happy at Bayern.
The Bundesliga giants are keen to retain the powerful German. Well do all that we can to keep him, noted chief Karl Heinze Rummenigge.
Real Madrid and Milan are also thought to be keen on making Schweinsteiger an attractive Bosman offer. |
