Wednesday 26 November, 2008 |
| Latest reports state that Chelsea have contacted Inter to name their price for Didier Drogba and they are demanding a part-exchange agreement.
Drogba was strongly tipped with a transfer to San Siro this summer as Inter boss Jose Mourinho has stressed his desire to work with the Ivorian in Italy.
After a honeymoon period with new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, it has become clear that Drogba is unsettled at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea won't let him leave cheaply.
Following rumours that Drogba and his agent met Inter director Marco Branca in a restaurant in Fulham, Chelsea have reportedly put a price tag on the 30-year-old.
According to Sportmediaset, the Blues want £34m plus enigmatic hitman Adriano in exchange for Drogba.
Recent indiscretions have called Adriano's Inter career into question and he would be unlikely to stand in the way of the move.
However, whether President Massimo Moratti is willing to foot such a huge bill after his lavish summer spending is another matter.
