| Roma director Bruno Conti has reacted angrily to Press reports that star midfielder Alberto Aquilani is pondering a move to Juventus.
Aquilani has been reticent to sign a contract extension with the Giallorossi and there are rumours that the Old Lady are waiting in the wings.
Il Romanista, which is closely linked to Roma, claimed yesterday that Conti had acknowledged the Lupi need to secure a Champions League qualification spot to keep Aquilani at the club.
“I speak to Alberto every day, but I have never discussed a move,” Conti raged on Roma's website.
“The club normally works to find a solution to every issue, but I see what has happened as greatly offensive to me as a man and a professional.
“Words have been attributed to me that I never said and there is no truth in what was reported.
“Considering the severity of this, we are being forced to cut off certain links with this source as they are clearly spreading false stories to unsettle us.”
