Abbiati sees Toro threat
Thursday 20 November, 2008

Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati fears that Sunday's opponents Torino could be a wounded animal and admits he feels some nostalgia.

While the Rossoneri are on the up, Toro have been on dismal form and lost 3-2 to Catania last weekend.

However, Abbiati, who played for the Granata in the 2006-07 campaign, is expecting his former side to show a fierce will to win.

“It's an important game because we need to continue our positive run of results,” Abbiati said.

“But Torino have a good group and they have been unlucky so far - in my opinion they should have more points than they do.

“I don't fear anyone in particular but Alessandro Rosina is a great player. What worries me most is their determination to put things right, which could be a dangerous weapon.”

Abbiati then showed some nostalgia as he looked back at his spell between the posts for Toro.

“I had a nice period there and I'm a little excited to go back there,” he explained.

“I want to thank Torino President Urbano Cairo for the trust he showed in me to give me the opportunity to play for his team. I was very disappointed at the time that I wasn't able to stay.”
