Wednesday 19 November, 2008 |
| John Arne Riise claims he enjoyed Roma's win over Lazio last weekend, even though he was nothing more than a spectator.
The Norwegian international hasn't had the best of times since joining the Giallorossi from Liverpool in pre-season.
But Riise has no intention of letting the difficulties get him down and is staying positive.
The win over Lazio was incredible, he told Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. There is nothing better than when the team plays really well.
I don't enjoy not playing but I have to adapt and learn how to do things here in Italy.
My days are intensive. I go to training in the morning and then I have three hours of Italian lessons in the afternoon.
At times you are very tired, but it's worth it as I have to learn the language.
I understand everything the Coach tells me already and my teammates have been fantastic in helping me settle in.
