Wednesday 19 November, 2008 |
| Torino goalkeeper Matteo Sereni has dismissed the controversy surrounding Catania's second goal on Sunday.
Catania striker Giuseppe Mascara netted with a free-kick but teammate Gianvito Plasmati dropped his shorts while standing in the wall.
There were suggestions that Plasmati's less than sporting gesture may have distracted Toro 'keeper Sereni, but the Granata No 1 isn't using the incident as an excuse.
I didn't see Plasmati pull down his shorts, Sereni told Repubblica.it.
I'm not in a position to judge whether his actions contribution to impeding my vision.
In truth I had already been unsighted by the number of players who were in and around the wall.
