Zebina to go under the knife
Tuesday 18 November, 2008

Juventus defender Jonathan Zebina will have surgery on an inflamed tendon on Thursday and will be ready to play in the New Year.

The French stopper has been suffering from severe pain in his left knee, caused by damage to the tendons.

After a lengthy course of rehabilitation and physiotherapy, Zebina has decided to go under the knife to resolve the situation once and for all.

The operation will take place on Thursday in the Tuscan city of Arezzo with respected sports doctor Giuliano Cerulli performing the procedure.

The estimated recovery time for Zebina has been set at between 70 and 90 days with a return expected at the start of 2009.

Meanwhile, Hasan Salihamidzic, Cristiano Zanetti and Christian Poulsen are making impressive progress in their battles against injury and the trio should be at Claudio Ranieri's disposal shortly.
