| Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani is nearing a return to action and could be ready to travel to Lecce this weekend.
The Azzurri ace has been sidelined for nearly a month since picking up a thigh injury in the Giallorossi's Champions League defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Aquilani sustained a second-degree tear in one of the muscles in his left thigh, but his rehabilitation has been successful and he will train with the rest of his teammates this week.
Reports suggest that the problem is now completely healed and that Aquilani nearly made his return in last weekend's Rome derby.
After being urged by the medical team not to risk the talented midfielder against Lazio, Luciano Spalletti is likely to include Aquilani in his squad for the trip to Via Del Mare.
