| Former Inter boss Roberto Mancini has received the Golden Bench award for last season and is being strongly linked with the Real Madrid post.
Mancini was at Coverciano to be presented with the Panchina d'Oro honour for his efforts in securing the title with the Nerazzurri last term.
While at the ceremony, Mancio was embraced by Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho, who succeeded him on the Beneamata bench.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Mancini's spell out of the game is set to end as Real Madrid see him as the perfect replacement for German boss Bernd Schuster.
A humiliating defeat at Valladolid at the weekend may have been the final straw for Schuster, whose side are five points behind leaders Barcelona.
Mancini is known to be on a short-list for the Real post along with ex-Merengues ace Michel and Victor Fernandez.
Meanwhile at Coverciano, former Chievo boss Beppe Iachini won the Silver Bench for leading the Flying Donkeys to the Serie B title.
Current Cagliari leader Massimiliano Allegri won the Lega Pro Golden Bench for taking Sassuolo up to the second tier.
