Sinisa Mihajlovic insists he has not yet made a decision on signing former Inter teammate Cesar Aparecido.
The Brazilian was in the same line-up as Mihajlovic both at Lazio and Inter, but is currently out of contract.
“We have talked about it within the club, but no decisions have been made,” said the Bologna Coach.
“Cesar is an important player and I admire him very much. If he is in good shape then he can make the difference, as he scores goals, is a great professional and can play in any wide role, on the left or right.
“Right now we must not think about Cesar. I am happy with the players I have and think we will take positive steps in the next few months. In January we will see where we are.”
The Corriere dello Sport claims that a deal has already been struck with Cesar to begin training with Bologna from next week.
He began his Serie A career in 2001 with Lazio and has since played for Inter, Livorno and back to the Nerazzurri again.
Meanwhile, Mihajlovic is eager to concentrate on today’s match with relegation rivals Siena.
“I want to see aggression, concentration, sacrifice, grit and determination. These elements must never be lacking from a performance and the lads realised they have to work as a team.
“One can lose a game, but always leaving the field with heads held high and a clean conscience.”
Sinisa earned a 1-1 draw with Roma on his management debut thanks to a stoppage-time Cicinho own goal.
“Siena play with the same system as Roma, a 4-3-1-2 with a diamond midfield, but this will be more difficult than last Saturday.
“They are very tactically organised and keep the team tight. I am happy to be facing off against Marco Giampaolo, who in my view is one of the best young Coaches around.”
