Milan may be one of the favourites for the Scudetto, but Chievo Coach Mimmo Di Carlo assures there are weak spots to be exploited.
“I expect a good performance from the squad and, compared to the match with Juventus, we can count on an extra week’s worth of training so there will be improvement.”
Di Carlo’s debut was a 2-0 defeat to Juve, so he has another tough task after replacing Beppe Iachini, as he travels to Scudetto contenders Milan.
“It is another very important match against a side of great individual quality, but also a team able to keep hold of the ball from the defence right the way to the final third and sometimes even into the box!
“There is no single player to be concerned about, rather we should fear all of them, but Chievo are on that pitch too and we will have our say.”
The confidence booster for Chievo could be the fact that last week Milan lost the leadership of Serie A with a 1-1 draw away to Lecce.
“By maintaining concentration when Milan attack and then pushing forward on the counter trying to be as efficient as possible, we can do it,” insisted Di Carlo.
“We’ll try to take advantage of their weak spots, which are most definitely there. Above all we need a Chievo side that is courageous and wants to push beyond its limits.”
