Mirko Vucinic is gearing up for a “special” Rome derby and insists Roma are a stronger side than Lazio. Last season's Serie A runners-up have looked a shadow of their former selves this term and are closer to the relegation zone than the title race. But Roma will be determined to prove a point by beating Lazio and securing Eternal City bragging rights. “The derby is always a special game, especially here in Rome,” Vucinic told Il Tempo. “I would love to score, but it won't be easy against this in-form Lazio outfit. “Even though they are playing well, we know that we are stronger than them and we want to show that on Sunday. “I think we can secure second place in Serie A this season and beating Lazio can signal the turning point - we are aiming for Champions League qualification at least.” Roma suffered an injury scare as Daniele De Rossi hurt his wrist earlier today, but the midfield ace may still be fit to play on Sunday.
