Thursday 13 November, 2008 |
| Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has a suspected fractured wrist just four days before the derby against Lazio.
The Giallorossi are in dire need of a confidence-boosting victory after a disappointing draw with Bologna left them rooted in 17th place.
The heat is rising in the capital as both sides prepare for Sunday evening's epic, but one key figure may now miss out.
Azzurri ace De Rossi landed on his left hand after falling during training this morning and has been sent to the Villa Stuart Clinic to ascertain the extent of the injury.
Initially, the midfield talent continued to play with his hand taped up, but it became clear that the problem was more serious when he reported intense pain.
The fear is that De Rossi has fractured his wrist and may miss out on the Derby della Capitale.
More news is expected later today once further tests have been conducted and Coach Luciano Spalletti will be waiting with baited breath.
