| Claudio Ranieri continues to heap praise on Alessandro Del Piero and makes the unusual comparison with ex-Catanzaro captain Massimo Palanca.
Juventus skipper Del Piero has been on inspirational form recently as the Old Lady have sprung to life.
And Ranieri is reminded of Palanca, who played alongside him at Catanzaro between 1974 and 1981 but isn't such a household name having only made 33 Serie A appearances in his career.
The current situation with Del Piero reminds me of when I was playing with Palanca, the Bianconeri tactician told Tuttosport.
I used to know that sooner or later Massimo would score, whether it be from a free-kick or a corner.
It's the same with Del Piero because you are always expecting him to produce. He is a genius and a talisman and more than a reference point.
However, everyone knows that one man can't make a team and Napoli struggled against relegation in Diego Maradona's first year, he concluded.
