L’Imperatore was back in training for Inter despite calling in sick this morning. “We’ll be talking to Adriano.”
The Brazilian is increasingly isolated within the club after Jose Mourinho froze him out for turning up late to training and staying out late at night.
This morning Adri called in sick with flu symptoms, but many in the media and within the Nerazzurri camp thought it a poor excuse.
Their suspicions were only raised further when the player arrived for the afternoon session and trained to one side with the injured Luis Figo.
“Adriano trained normally and so it is all sorted out,” insisted general manager Ernesto Paolillo in a bid to quash the controversy.
“Will there be punishment? Whatever the Coach does, the club does. We are all united here.
“We will be talking to Adriano, of course, just as we talk to everyone.”
It is only the latest setback in Adri’s Inter career, as he had already left for a six-month loan at Sao Paolo following a row with Roberto Mancini.
