| Empoli midfielder Mirko Valdifiori is dreaming of a move to Napoli as Vesuviani sporting director Pierpaolo Marino watched him last Saturday.
Empoli are joint leaders in Serie B and Valdifiori has made an important contribution to the Tuscans' cause.
Napoli director Marino [pictured] was seen at Empoli's 1-0 away win against Frosinone last weekend and reports suggest he was there to analyse the promising midfielder.
“I didn't know that Marino came to watch me - I'm honoured,” Valdifiori said on Radio Marte.
“I'm very pleased that someone of his standing would come to see me play and to wear the Napoli shirt would be a dream come true.
“This year they are playing really entertaining football and it would be great to be a part of it.
“I'm a classic central midfielder and I enjoy playing in front of the defence - maybe that's a position they need cover in.”
