Kaka admits that the pressure is still on fourth-placed Milan and has spoken of his new understanding with Pippo Inzaghi.
The Rossoneri overtook Fiorentina after winning the Derby della Madonnina against Inter last weekend and must now hold their single-point advantage.
Milan face a tough trip to Napoli’s Stadio San Paolo next, but they have happy memories of their 5-2 win in Week 18 when Kaka, Alexandre Pato and Ronaldo played in a three-man attack.
“The home fixture was a great game and the only outing for the Ka-Pa-Ro trident,” Kaka recalls.
“We are hoping for an equally positive result in Naples because the three points would be important for fourth place and it would help us to be in the right frame of mind to do well in the final game against Udinese at San Siro.
“Even if we have overtaken Fiorentina and we are in fourth, there is always a bit of pressure.
“We have a little extra responsibility because it is all down to us, and that gives us a great motivation.
“If we win both our remaining games, we will reach our objective but we are aware of Fiorentina right behind us and they are having a great season.”
Kaka provided the cross for a resurgent Inzaghi to head home for the first goal against Inter and the duo seem to be clicking.
“Our understanding on the pitch has improved a lot and are able to find each other with assists,” Kaka said.
“It’s a special time for us as a pair and we are hoping to finish the season strongly in these next two games.
“The turning point for us was the second goal in Athens. Since then we have got to know each other better when we play together.
“Pippo’s best quality is that he keeps believing until the end and never gives up. He chases every ball until it has completely gone out of play.
“He was the only player who could have got on the end of the cross I put over against Inter on Sunday and that’s why he is unique.”
Despite Vice-President Adriano Galliani’s insistence that he can’t sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Kaka finished by reiterating his respect for the Argentine ace.
“Messi is a great player and the fact that he is from Argentina doesn’t matter to me at all,” he declared.
“I like how he plays and if I had the power to bring a player to Milan it would be him.
“I rate him as a player and I have met him two or three times and found him to be a good lad.”
