Blasi wants Napoli stay
Monday 5 May, 2008

Manuele Blasi is happy at Napoli and hopes to extend his stay at the San Paolo, but may be forced to leave this summer.

The midfielder, who has impressed with the Azzurri this season, is co-owned by Juventus and Napoli, with the Partenopei unsure whether they can match Juve's price.

“I want to stay at Napoli. I had a fantastic season here and I would like to continue my adventure with the Azzurri,” he insisted.

“Juve and Napoli should be able to find an agreement soon. That is my only wish and I really hope it comes true.

“I feel I owe it to these fantastic supporters and to the Board because I have missed too many games due to suspensions.”

Blasi is disappointed he has had to miss several important ties like the one against Milan after picking up 16 yellow cards and one sending off this term.

“Sometimes I am too naive, and I am really sorry I couldn't help my teammates against the Rossoneri,” said the 27-year-old.

“Napoli gave me the chance to be important and play a great season. They gave me everything I needed really.

“I didn't expect us to do so well this term. We built a solid group and thanks to our quality I think we will be able to do more in the future.

“I would like to live those feelings at the San Paolo again next season,” concluded the former Fiorentina midfielder.

Meanwhile, Juventus would be happy to leave the midfielder to Napoli and reinvest in the transfer market.

Hugo Campagnaro and Vincenzo Fiorillo have both been linked to the Old Lady, but in order to sign the Sampdoria duo they need to cash-in on Blasi.
