Torino President Urbano Cairo has announced that Coach Gianni De Biasi will remain at the helm of the Granata next season.
The Piemontesi managed to beat Napoli at the weekend, which means they should be able to avoid relegation this term.
They currently sit 15th in the table with 37 points, three more than Parma, so morale is high at the Stadio Olimpico.
“De Biasi and I have a solid relationship. We had some troubles in the past, but now everything is solved,” claimed the Toro patron.
The tactician lead them to the promotion to Serie A two seasons ago, but was then sacked just before the beginning of the season before being called back to rescue Toro.
The same happened this term, with Walter Novellino unable to handle the pressure and De Biasi recalled from Levante to avoid a disastrous relegation.
“Our wish is to stay together next season, but starting from the very beginning. For this year our main target is obviously survival and we must reach it,” he explained.
“Then we will start planning together to see what to do next season. We will be looking at the transfer market for possible captures if needed,” concluded Cairo.
