Mathieu Flamini will sign a four-year contract with Milan tonight, confirmed Adriano Galliani, but they put the brakes on Ronaldinho.
The reports that a deal had been agreed with the Arsenal midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of this season, are now official.
Flamini will arrive this evening and sign a four-year contract, announced general manager Galliani.
The Frenchman has rejected a new deal with Arsenal and will travel to Italy tonight for the paperwork.
The statement came after the 2-1 derby victory over Inter sent Milan into a Champions League place.
Milan dominated the match for 75 minutes, then Inter came out. I think the win was deserved and we are now in charge of our own destiny. All we have to do now is win the last two games.
Galliani has been working on the Flamini deal on the quiet while all the publicity has been about Ronaldinho.
I have always been doubtful over his signing, but now I am even less convinced that Milan really need Ronaldinho, said President Silvio Berlusconi.
