Alberto Gilardino’s agent admits he is likely to leave Milan at the end of the season. “We’ll evaluate every proposal.”
The former Parma striker moved to San Siro for £17m in the summer of 2005, but has not lived up to expectations.
“The lad has decided to only face this issue at the end of the season,” explained agent Francesco Romano on Radio Kiss Kiss.
“Together we will evaluate every proposal that comes in. Obviously Alberto is bitter at the fact he can’t find space in the side and clearly if Ronaldinho, Andriy Shevchenko and Marco Borriello were to arrive then it would all be up for debate again.
“Talking about his position now is premature, especially as at this moment Milan have not signed anyone yet.”
He scored 17 goals in 34 games the first term and 12 goals in 30 the next, but this season has just seven from 30 Serie A appearances.
Increasingly pushed aside by Alexandre Pato and the revival of Pippo Inzaghi’s form, Gilardino also has a fractious rapport with the Milan fans.
Gila has made just one appearance in the last month, as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat at Juventus, and has not scored since January 30.
There were reports that he would be included in an exchange deal with Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey.
It would reunite the striker with Cesare Prandelli, who was his Coach during their time together at Parma.
