Pandev 'not on the market'
Saturday 30 May, 2009

Juventus and Bayern Munich target Goran Pandev “is not on the market,” assured Lazio President Claudio Lotito.

The striker has been linked with a move to Turin and admitted this week he didn’t know where he would be playing next season.

“I can guarantee I never received any interest from Juve or other clubs. Besides, we have no intention of selling him,” said Lotito.

“Of course if the player wants to leave at all costs, without the desire of the club, then that is another matter. But I am convinced he doesn’t intend to create a situation of tension.”

The patron warned Pandev that quitting the Biancocelesti might not necessarily improve his career prospects.

“I already said a while back that all those who left Lazio came to a sticky end. I think that if Pandev remained at Lazio, he would improve, keep the love of the fans, my respect and the chance to definitively make his mark.”

Uncertainty reigns at the Olimpico right now, as Lotito also noted he was considering Coach Delio Rossi’s demands for next season.

“I am not looking down other avenues, but we don’t have a deadline and there is no percentage of probability he’ll remain.

“Choices must be pondered, made based on logic and with the real possibility of fulfilling those pledges. It is not as simple as it might appear.”
