Greek international goalkeeper Dimitrios Eleftheropoulos has rescinded his contract with Siena by mutual consent.
The 32-year-old arrived in the peninsula with Messina back in 2004 before joining Milan in 2005.
After a season warming the bench at Roma, Eleftheropoulos played 14 games for Ascoli and then joined Siena.
However, the ex-Olympiacos man played only a peripheral role at the Montepaschi Arena and is now packing his bags.
Eleftheropoulos has cited family reasons for his decision, which has been supported by the club.
The shot-stopper's next move is in doubt, but he is expected to leave Italy.
