| De Rossi: We weren't good enough |

Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi has admitted that the Giallorossi didn't deserve a place in next season's Champions League.
The Eternal City outfit have endured a tough campaign and will have to settle for Europa League football next term.
Inconsistency cost Luciano Spalletti's men any chance of finishing in fourth place and the top six was even in doubt for a time.
“We would have preferred to be in the Champions League obviously,” De Rossi told the Corriere dello Sport.
“It is a different kind of competition and it has a special charm. We have demonstrated that we belong at that level and can excel there.
“However, our performances in Serie A this season haven't merited a place in the Champions League.
“We need to strengthen in the summer transfer market. The likes of Barcelona and Manchester United will so we must do so as well.”
