Minute's silence for Tardini tragedy
Sunday 24 May, 2009

There will be a minute’s silence ahead of all games in Italy today after the death of a teenage Vicenza fan.

The supporter fell from the stands of the Stadio Tardini on Saturday afternoon from a height of around six metres.

He underwent emergency surgery, but 19-year-old Eugenio Bortolon died late last night from massive head and chest injuries.

The FIGC has announced that a minute’s silence will be held before every game in Italy today, including the Serie A Week 37 encounters.
