Milan’s Dinho ultimatum
Friday 16 May, 2008

There are reports in Spain that Milan have tabled their final bid for Ronaldinho and are awaiting a response from Barcelona.

The Rossoneri have been chasing the signature of unsettled Brazilian ace Ronaldinho for months, but concrete talks have only begun in the last few weeks.

Dinho is reportedly keen to switch to Milan after a season of frustration at the Nou Camp, but Barça are believed to be demanding £25m for his signature.

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, the Diavolo have set £20m as their final offer and are unwilling to go any higher.

While other sides were interested in Dinho and Manchester City are reportedly willing to pay the full £25m, the player has made it clear that Milan are the only side he would be happy to join.

He has also allegedly agreed to a four-year contract worth around £7m per season, including image rights and other sponsorship windfalls.

Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani is due to travel to Barcelona next week to discuss the deal.

Meanwhile, Ronaldinho has been left out of Carlos Dunga’s Brazil squad for next month’s World Cup 2010 qualifiers and there are serious doubts over his long-term fitness.
