Lazio loan defender David Rozehnal is hoping to make his move to the Stadio Olimpico permanent, as long as he plays regular first-team football.
The Czech international had a nightmare start to life in the Eternal City with several error-ridden performances after arriving on loan from Newcastle until the end of the campaign.
But Rozehnal has improved of late and has featured in Lazio’s last five Serie A outings.
“I have played from the start in the last five matches and it has given me back the self-confidence I had when I was playing for PSG,” he told Sport.
“Everything looks like it is returning to normal and I hope that it will continue this way.
“I have not played as much as I wanted to though. Now it is up to Lazio to make a decision on my future.
“If I was playing then I would definitely come. It’s important that I am playing regularly. I wouldn’t want to be here in a situation where I get a game and sit out the next three.”
