Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli has refuted President Maurizio Zamparinis suggestion that he has one eye on a move to Lecce.
Miccoli joined the Rosanero last summer, but hasnt shown his true potential in a season of injuries and inconsistency.
A frustrating campaign seems to have convinced Zamparini that the diminutive hitman wants to leave the Stadio Renzo Barbera and join hometown club Lecce, who are fighting for promotion from Serie B, but Miccoli is hurt by that idea.
I will talk to Zamparini and sporting director Maurizio Zamparini at the end of the season, the former Juventus man said.
But what the President said on Sunday annoyed me because it really isnt like that.
Its a little early to talk about these things, but I have a contract here and I intend to see it through.
There has been a lot of talk about going back to Lecce, but I want to continue wearing the Rosanero jersey.
I have always been motivated and I know that this club has big plans for the future.
With star man Amauri set to leave Sicily in the summer, Miccoli could have a more central role next term should he choose to stay at the club, but there seems to be some repair work needed on his relationship with the board.
