Russian side Zenit St Petersburg are tracking Fiorentina striker Adrian Mutu as a replacement for Andrei Arshavin.
Zenit are yet to find a successor for the 27-year-old who joined Arsenal during the winter transfer window.
The latest reports on Tuttomercatoweb suggest that the St Petersburg giants are looking to Fiorentina's Romanian star Mutu.
It is suggested that Mutu has given the green light to a move as long as the Viola accept the move and highly rated Dutch tactician Dick Advocaat stays on as Coach.
That seems unlikely because Advocaat is the strong favourite to take the Belgian national job in the next few weeks.
Mutu has netted 13 times in 19 games this season despite being hampered by injury problems that eventually led to knee surgery.
Zenit have also been linked with Juventus' Azzurri ace Vincenzo Iaquinta.
