Carlo Ancelotti has silenced those who suggest a total revolution at Milan is needed, including a change of management.
The very likely failure to qualify for the Champions League is set to prompt a clear-out at San Siro with some suggesting current Italy boss Roberto Donadoni or Barcelona’s Frank Rijkaard as the next tactician.
“I will be on the bench again and I don’t think there will be a revolution of the squad, but there will be some necessary adjustments,” commented Ancelotti on 7 Gold television.
Much of their future depends on Sunday’s results, as the Rossoneri must beat Udinese and hope Fiorentina fail to win at Torino to recapture fourth place.
“We hope to reach the Champions League because it is very important for us. Clearly it doesn’t just depend on our efforts anymore, but we will do our duty to the end.”
Milan face Udinese without the suspended Gennaro Gattuso and Alessandro Nesta, but Andrea Pirlo returns from a ban.
