Milito agent admits Inter talks
Thursday 14 May, 2009

The agent of Genoa striking star Diego Milito has given the first official confirmation that Inter are chasing his client.

The Argentine ace was one of the signings of the summer as he has netted 19 times in his second spell at Marassi.

Inter have been repeatedly linked with Milito for the last few months with reports of a meeting between representative Fernando Hidalgo and Nerazzurri officials yesterday.

“Inter really have shown their interest,” Hidalgo stated on Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Milito would be an excellent strike partner for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the intention is there to pair them.

“I must also say that there are other teams talking to me from Italy and abroad.

“However, it's natural that I have a closer relationship with Inter because I have spoken to them most.

“As long as Genoa President Enrico Preziosi is ready to negotiate then terms could be agreed.”

Hidalgo also reminisced about last year when Milito was close to joining Napoli.

“Napoli wanted Milito last summer before Genoa signed him. They offered Real Zaragoza £5m but they refused,” he said.

“The Vesuviani wanted to take advantage of the fact that Zaragoza had been relegated by signing him at a cut price. But then they signed German Denis instead.”
