Four Serie A players have made it into Victor Piturca’s provisional Romania squad for Euro 2008.
Romania, who have qualified for their first major tournament in eight years, have been drawn in Italy’s Group this summer, along with Holland and France.
The Tricolorii’s main man is prolific Fiorentina hitman Adrian Mutu, who was their top scorer in qualification and has rattled the net 17 times in Serie A so far this term.
Inter’s Cristian Chivu is expected to captain the side and the man nicknamed ‘the new Chivu’, Lazio’s Stefan Daniel Radu, is also included.
Siena’s Paul Codrea is the fourth representative of Italy’s top flight and has made 29 appearances in the Robur’s successful campaign.
Former Fiorentina custodian Bogdan Lobont, who is being linked with a return to the peninsula, is also on the list.
