Highly rated Siena Coach Marco Giampaolo believes he is ready to train one of Italy's biggest clubs.
The 41-year-old has won plaudits for making the Robur play beautiful football despite a lack of resources.
Siena have beaten Roma and Fiorentina this year, and were unlucky to lose to Inter in late December.
A lot of Serie A clubs are thinking about changing trainer this summer, the most notable being Milan, Roma and Juventus.
When asked if he would give a shot at the big time much thought, Giampaolo replied: An important call can arrive tomorrow or never. There is no time to establish things.
I read the newspapers, but I assure you that I have never had any kind of contact with another club.
Turning back to his team, Giampaolo explained just how he has made a provincial team like Siena so strong at the back.
The Robur have conceded 37 goals this season, giving them the fifth best defence in the League.
Some have hailed Giampaolo's methods at the back as the future of defending in Serie A.
The ball and goal are our points of reference, we attack the ball not the opponents, he said. I believe in the value of human resources. I define the men on my staff as invisible workers.
When asked to name the people who have influenced his style of play, Giampaolo replied: Giuliano Sonzogni and Arrigo Sacchi.
Siena currently lie 14th in Serie A and face League leaders Inter this weekend in a game that could end the title race.
