Julio Cruz and Marco Materazzi have been handed hefty Coppa Italia bans for violent conduct during the semi-final with Lazio.
Inter won the tie 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico last week despite ending the game with 10 men following Materazzi’s dismissal for a lunge on Goran Pandev.
The defender has been suspended for two Coppa Italia matches for that incident, but his teammate Cruz came off worse.
Il Jardinero was caught on camera punching Aleksandar Kolarov on the side of the head in an off the ball incident.
The referee did not witness it, but the RAI television crew did and he has been given a three-match ban.
All of these will be seen out in the Coppa Italia and not Serie A, so Cruz and Materazzi miss the May 24 Final against Roma.
