Zenga targets Turin result
Saturday 10 May, 2008

Walter Zenga believes Catania can prove their good form by getting a result away to Juventus and escaping the drop zone.

“At this moment in time the team is in good shape and able to repeat the performances of the past four or five rounds,” said the Coach who took over from Silvio Baldini last month.

The Sicilians were in action midweek, as a 1-1 draw with Roma was not enough to qualify them for the Coppa Italia Final.

Zenga is hoping for better against a Juve side that has nothing left to play for, having secured third place.

“It is sold out and the Bianconeri fans want to celebrate their season, so I doubt Juventus will be unmotivated.

“If we manage to get a result then clearly the reason will be because we have put in a great performance, not just assuming the opposition is relaxed.

“Our greatest strength is conviction. Football is a wonderful game because it is unpredictable and gives you the opportunity to challenge anyone on a level playing field.”

Striker Gionatha Spinesi is out for the rest of the campaign, while Zenga hopes to have Takayuki Morimoto back for at least some of the game.
