Mourinho: Forza Juve!
Sunday 10 May, 2009

Jose Mourinho won't be able to celebrate the title tonight, but still admits he “will be cheering on Juventus.”

He had said in yesterday's Press conference that it would be “wrong” to hope Juve won at San Siro, but seems to have changed his tune.

“I will be cheering on Juve tonight. I am not a hypocrite, but neither am I worried,” confessed the Special One. “It would be a nice gift.”

The Scudetto would have been secured if Inter had won away to Chievo and Milan lost to the Bianconeri, but the first part of that equation faltered already with a 2-2 draw in Verona.

“I do not like this result, but we still need five points to win the title and have two out of three games on home turf,” said the Coach.

“Our fate is entirely in our hands, which is extremely positive. We gave away two goals today and should have defended a lot better when we were 2-1 up.

“Unfortunately I never have the opportunity to field the line-up I want due to injuries and suspension.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic missed this trip to Chievo with a ban, while Douglas Maicon was sidelined.

The Scudetto celebrations are postponed to next Sunday at San Siro, as they welcome a Siena side that is already safe from relegation.

“I expect a real game against the Tuscans, even if obviously the result means more to us than to them.”
