Juventus and Inter are competing to snap up £6m rated Deco from Chelsea after Phil Scolari’s departure.
The Portuguese playmaker was picked up for £8m from Barcelona by the Coach, who has since been sacked and replaced by Guus Hiddink.
Deco has struggled to impress at Stamford bridge and The Sun reports he is on the market.
Tuesday’s trip to Turin, where Chelsea aim to hang on to their 1-0 lead over Juventus, could prove the catalyst for negotiations looking forward to next season.
The 31-year-old could be drafted in as a replacement for Pavel Nedved, who has announced he will retire at the end of this term.
However, if Deco is available, then Inter will also be in the fray, as he is a favourite of Coach Jose Mourinho from their time together at Porto.
Juventus have been targeting Diego, but Claudio Ranieri warned the Werder Bremen man does not fit into his 4-4-2 system.
Deco would bring experience, talent and more tactically suitable characteristics, not to mention arrive for almost half the price of Diego.
